Written and directed by Dalton Brown, Elbow Macaroni follows April; a homemaker absolutely obsessed with making macaroni salad for the annual church picnic. But with an unexpected visit from her ex-husband and the appearance of a mysterious young man claiming to know her, can April keep her image and her sanity in tact? Elbow Macaroni deals heavily with mental illness, suicidal ideation, and strives to battle the idea that love is enough to “fix” a person. It is a dark comedy that blurs the line between realism and surrealism.
